Watch Naruto Episodes

Naruto is an action and comedy packed animation series which has Naruto Uzumaki, a ninja kid at the centre of its story.

Naruto was first made for the Japanese TV Tokyo which later became so popular that Viz Media brought it to North America. Studio Pierrot produced the series which was actually created by Masashi Kishimoto and immortalized in the Japanese comic called manga in 1997.

TV Tokyo showed Naruto animation series between October 2002 to February 2007 in Japanese and cartoon network broadcast the series through its division called toonami. Cartoon network soon stopped its toonami division but continued showing Naruto in the regular cartoon network.

The story is set up against the backdrop of a village called Konohagakure which is depicted as one among the five Shinobi nations. The village witnesses all the jaw dropping adventures of this kid. He constantly engages in one or the other adventure in an effort to grab attention and to exhibit his ninja skills to become the Hokage, the title equal to the rulers of the country. It has many characters like his friends Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno and many more coming into existence by serendipity as the story moves ahead with the kid’s slow transformation into a ninja expert.

Bionix and another channel Jetix UK also aired the Naruto episodes. Masashi Kishimoto’s comic series manga comprised 27 volumes which were later made into 220 episodes. Despite having around 220 episodes only 209 episodes were telecast with the final one shown in January 2009. There are rumors that Viz will resume the telecast but these rumors are still to be confirmed.

But there’s good news for the die hard fans of the ninja superhero because the producers have been bringing out DVD’s with each disc compiling around 15 Naruto episodes. They have taken great care to make sure that the DVD’s include the episodes with minimum cuts so that viewers are not disappointed. In fact there are also DVDs that showcase the special scenes – the finest moments of the Ninja kid. The series producers have also compiled the first 135 Naruto episodes in a single DVD titled ‘Naruto The Best Scene’. You can also catch repeat shows of these famous series in the popular online video sites like Youtube, myspace. The Ninja kid’s adventures have also been made into a movie following its mass appeal.
